Well his web site won't work because that's just the way the UK karting registration works, quite a few don't work if you try them, including mine!
I applaude your wish to build a new chassis and maybe introduce something different and possibly dial out some of the awful things that still exist on a conventional chassis.
Obviously you will use standard bodywork and fuel tank and there are certain requirements that need to be adhered to.
Will it handle? is the most important question.
You can end up with an awful lot of scrap tube.
You can buy conventional bearing hangers and stub axle yolks, which saves on tooling.
Your tube selection will be very critical and remember that kart chassis have an awful tendency to crack at weld points because of the change in the structure of the metal at the weld and either side.
A well brazed chassis doesn't have these problems but it is time consuming and has died out in kart chassis and many are now done robotically.
A method of changing seat position would be good to incorporate.
Your choice of braking system will need to be chosen as most are not interchangeable due to the mounting differences.
Welcome to the forum by the way and don't be off by rudeness, your first posts can be difficult to expalin yourself.
Dave, you finished your secret chassis yet?
