There are no actual rules on making sure the Kart is legal. Teh bodywork doesnt need to be the latest, in fact really as long as there is bodywork shoukldnt be a problem. Make sure before her first outing the steering bolts are all done up, check all the wheels, and make sure the brakes work (check pads and the disc and how far the pedal goes) and jsut make sure things are tight and you should be fine!
