Rib injuries take ages to heal because you can't rest the injury i.e you would have to stop breathing to do so !! It can take 6-12 weeks or longer if you keep repeating the battering -good seat fitting and a good rib tec will help to prevent the lateral movement that causes the damage but only once you have given it enough time to heal. You also need to make sure the height of the seat up your back is correct - we are all different in our body length. Some upper body strength excercises will also help by giving good muscle support to the chest. Kevin at Iztech I think will make custom seats and fit them to your kart correctly.
