Thanks very much Matt.

The plug I had was new at the beginning of the day last Friday. It had about an hour track time in total throughout the day but was coloured black by the end of today.

Presumably this means I was running the engine too rich but I had a 155 jet in?? Other drivers were suprised to hear that I had gone this low but I wasn't getting any popping and it seemd to drive ok.

Baffled by the soiled plug.

I suppose what I meant to ask is, if a plug is soiled, even lightly, does that mean you have to get a new one?
