I can understand the attitude of both sides because I saw loads of it last year, when we travelled a lot in France. I've experienced major antagonism from local racers simply because they can't believe that the extra pace we had was possible within the rules. The difference in France is that the local officials sometimes join in and try and find a reason to exclude you. So its worth talking to people, offering advice, whether it be on tyre pressures, cornering technique or set up etc. you can usually help them find a bit of pace somewhere.

Why not do so? It's usually quite easy to spot something that can be improved, especially if you've worked with that particular engine or chassis before. Once done it's remarkable how attitudes change and you might even end up getting something back you hadn't thought of.

I apreciate, how competitive it can get at National level, everyone thinks they have secrets of one sort or another, although I would have to say that I have found the Honda S1 paddock very welcoming.

Maybe I'm being naieve, but if everyone shared info a little more it would help bring everyone on and make the sport more enjoyable and easier for all.
