I have a high instep and the Nikes support my feet better than Adidas or Puma.

Having said that, I do have some of the other brands, but they were chosen for foot support as much as looks.

ALL of my footwear looks cool, except my work shoes, obviously.

As for the LH kart, try before you buy and buy what feels right for you within your budget. THEN spend as much time as poss in the saddle finding the last few tenths like the top drivers do. It's all about setup.
