I emailed him when I first saw the add and he replied on the 12th: -
Hi.... thanks for that info...when i said ready to race, i meant this as a term that it is all on the button & ready to go. i am not aware of the MSA regs as this was used on an aerodrome to see if my lad wanted to take up the sport. what do you think the kart would be worth ?. as you are aware it can cost a fortune just for a rebuild. we have spent a lot of money to get the kart to go like it does. is this engine still eledgeable in any cadet classes nowadays. many thanks for the info....much appreciated.
After my email he added at the bottom of his description: - On 13-May-09 at 08:40:56 BST, seller added the following information:
I have been asked by loads of dads....... is this MSA legal. i would like to say that where we used this kart to learn we didnt need an MSA licence. so i cant be 100% sure.
please feel free to have alook at the kart before the auction ends if not sure. we do have a bumper that goes across the whole kart. we only put the smaller one on so it fitted in the car.
New plastics/bodywork can be purchased on ebay for under £50.00. we havent bothered as this is a choice of colour the new owner can choose.
