Hi Alan It may well have been myself you were talking to at CKC,I bought my lad a kart on ebay and have practised 3 times without any probs(touch wood!)now, best fun we've ever had for £500 (initially!) lol But before rushing into it I did ask loads of questions on a couple of forums and sellers on ebay. I suppose we were lucky to a certain extent that the kart we bought seems to be running well and without any serious problems, but when buying from a stranger/ebay you are just taking pot luck that its gonna be ok/suitable.I spoke to a guy at last weekends practice and he had bought the first kart he saw! a junior/senior kart! rotax I think??? for his 8 year old!!!!!! realising he had dropped a clanger he had to go out and buy another more suitable one. So adding to Alans a advice before you buy do some web research look at the VARIOUS KART CLASSES,search this sites forums, visit your local club and ask lots of questions
