The best thing you can do as a "new" dad is get your lad comfortable. Forget weight distribution, that is for much later. The steering wheel and pedals are prety much fixed, you may want to use pedal extenders depending on drivers size.
Once you have the pedals and wheel in position move the seat so your kid is comfortable. If the seat has a flat bottom it is easy to place a plank under the chasis rails, put the seat on top of the plank and let your kid sit in it then move it until he is happy and comfortable. Believe me this is way better than geting a mythical figure for seat back to axle.
