I am looking for a good starting (reference) point for the seat position in a Tonykart Rocky (cadet chassis, i.e. the rear axle surface to seat spine measurement. Apart from being too tight (Tillett T8 XS with the lining removed), one or two helpful observers had pointed out that the seat was tilted forward slightly (base not paralle to rails) and my son appeard hunched over the wheel (not helped by small seat). I have tried looking at weight distribution using bathroom scales - with old seat in its original position (axle surface to centre seat spine = 165 mm) it looks to be close to 60:40 but I am not sure I believe the numbers (what a fiddle this was). Unfortunately we are not experienced enough to know if the kart was handling OK or not.
