But whatever you do to the offender you cannot get the places back that these two other drivers were "robbed" off, so unfortunately we try and write SRs to cope with every eventuality (MSA included) then up pops something that was never thought off.At that point SRs, rules etc have to be changed BUT whatever you do you can only penalise the offender, no way of retrospectively putting drivers back in their position etc..

Every club has a system that needs constant evolution, the Steward has to make a "call" on all the evidence presented by all sides, not an easy task, sometimes they get it right, othertimes not, but there will always be parties who are not happy with the decision, next time might be different and someone else will view things differently?

As steve says there is always the appeal process, but very few seem to go this far?
