Seeing as no one has answered you, I would have said that it can be reversed.

I would not have thought that they woujld have removed any components as it would invalidate any warranty.

Can you feel the infrared sensor thorugh the sealant?

Just be careful when you remove it.

Try not to scratch the dome of the sensor as it may affect the data transfer.

If you do damage it.it can be replaced as it's the same as the ones use din TV remote systems.

If you get stuck, post up again.
