David, thanks for the explanation.

Brian, yes you may well be correct.

But the reason I asked David the question was many years ago when I first got a datalogger I thought right -

More lateral G = more grip = a quicker lap, with the proviso that you use all of the track width.

However as I have said above how wrong I was!

I will now take David's advice and smooth the data too see if my original theory was indeed correct, however I have too say I think it will still not work out as we corner on three wheels not four. This is really why I asked the question of David as he put "Lateral G" at the top of his list.

It's a real shame as setting up a kart chassis would be so much more simple if the Data matched the theory!

However as a wise man once said "if the data does not match the theory, then its time you got a new theory" LOL
