Is it your impression that the pressure is ONLY because the 'suits' have 'put their names on' the concept of high backed seats? If not, what IS it that's driving this pressure?

And WHY do they seem to want to ignore our experiences of full-width rear bumpers?

For precision, I am NOT against the PRINCIPLE of high backed seats.... if they do NOT make us LESS safe. If they improve the overall safety, I approve of them! I have raced using (earlier versions of) them in gearbox classes so it's not a N.I.M.B.Y. objection.
