(Without Laughing please) I've lost 6kg in the last month by reducing intake of treats and rowing 2 or 3 times a week. 5000M in about 21mins loses you 360 cals. Rowing exercises 82% of the body, good for your upper body strength without building heavy muscle and good for cardio vascular training for those long finals!!
Swimming is also good for this.
