Corner help reduce loading up resulting in the usual crash, bang, wallop ?
For the last 3 meetings at my local circuit we've worked hard to end up putting the kart at the sharp end of the grid....only to have it all wiped out because of the usual mid/rear pack drivers knowing that loading up will result in a good crash bash and leave the field wide open for them to come through ?
I approached the COC at the end of the meeting to have an informal chat and he agreed that something has to be done and has been looking into having CCTV installed !
I suggested a possible 6 marshalls specifically standing with pad and pen ready to report the culprits, the cost of these extra marshalls could easily be added onto race or practice day fee and would be minimal in comparison to the potential kart damage etc... ? The drivers knowing that marshalls were ready and waiting may, JUST MAY think twice....I don't know, just an idea and I know from conversations yesterday that I am just one of many who have become dissalusioned with this situation...
This IS NOT an attack on clubs, marshalls etc... just simply a posing from a regular competitor who has had the misfortune to come off worse for the last 3 meetings at this club !
