Be fair to old NJB.... I'll bet his real claim is that they worked BETTER in XYZ circumstances.

I am with you 100% on the claim that Mag wheels retain heat etc... No one has EVER shown me that the fact that the two types of wheels need VERY different 'architecture' and thus have very different VOLUMES of metal is not MUCH more important in their behaviour with temp. etc..

NJB has claimed before now that he uses a: 'use it if it works' principle and tends to reject the concept of finding out WHY xyz changes something. He finds that sort of discussion rather 'esoteric'. My apologies to him if I am wrong on that count.
