As a result of changing conditions over the last 24hrs and variable forecasts of weather still to come we have VERY regrettably had to take the decison to cancel the first round meeting this weekend.
A large number of competitors have either withdrawn or have diffculty in travelling to the circuit and may not be able to compete.
As a club we are concerned for saftey of drivers and families and recognise that everyone needs to be able to get home and to work on Monday morning.
We also do not want to unreasonably affect the year's championship by drivers having to take a dropped round because of an inability to get to the circuit because of the weather and conditions.
Hopefully you will all understand - We will be calling all entrants to advise, and apologise for this situation. All entries will be rolld forward to next month and we shall be discussing the possibility of adding another round in during the year.
We have to recognise the efforts of the organisers (Cathy) and particulary Lee Rennison and his team at the circuit who have worked tirelessly this week to keep the circuit open and the track clear - this is our biggest frustration - the circuit itself is clear - and will be open for practice tomorrow but the road network to and from the circuit is proving very diffcult in different areas.
