The appeal against the noise abatement notice was upheld by the judge in court today, and Dunkeswell is able to stay open after 40+ years on the same site.
Great to see the RIGHT decision at the end of a year long legal battle at huge cost to both parties.
Sincere thanks to Nigel Mansell and his family, without whose support and underwriting of the costs this victory could never had happened.
Hundreds of hours by our legal team and expert witnesses, over a week in court, 2 adjournments for submissions and judge's decision, finally today a 14 page judgement concludes with dismisal of the noise abatement notice. A long battle won on the last lap of the race.
Dunkeswell is very much open for business in 2009, and we look forward to seeing lots of you in Devon this year, just one way you can repay the effort Nigel has put into the track and club, and the sport which he holds so dear to his heart.
Paul Wenham Vice-Chairman Dunkeswell Kart Racing Club
