i run with an Erde 142 for my sons cadet kart, all our spares and trolley go in the trailer, kart on top, tools in the boot. it came flat packed, built in an hour, great wee trailer tows well.
you will be fine with the kart overhanging, as long as you are not beyond the wheel arches of the trailer. try and get as big a trailer as you can, its amazing how quickly the space inside the trailer is gobbled up with wheels, tyres, spares, and all the rest of your gear.
i got mine from hafords reduced to about Ł300 from Ł500ish just keep an eye open on line
