It doesn't matter if the E-box is sloped like the angle of the nassau panel but the front, where the sensors plug in to, does need to be facing you. Otherwise the accelerometer won't work properly. Once it's on the kart you will need to put the kart flat on the floor and calibrate the E-box. This is done in the menu by pressing 'system information' and then 'Calibrate Acc'.

The temperature sensor should be plugged into the E-box, as should the RPM lead. Saying that, I had someone with some problems at the weekend and we had to put them into the dash to make it work. AIM say plug everything into the E-box.

The download will pick up everything that is plugged in, no matter where.
