you'll probably find skid plates very popular on the low running tony/alonso.
I found it helps if you 'glue' them on as well, using unibond extra strenght sealer - available from homebase in an assortment of colours. The 'less' prone side plates I now use neatly cut old exhaust pipe, just glued, from my (theres a use for everything box of bits)(much cheapness)(a creadit crunch moment!! ;-)) This helps protect the welded bit in front of the seat. I havent lost it yet (left more prone). I previously lost several plastic donuts - which when fitted horizontally would also help get you stuck in the grass on rally cross moments. Keep an eye on the front one and replace/repair when it gets worn to avoid being excluded by the scrutes. hope this helps.
