I am very well aware of that problem and I agree with you about it. That's why I never suggested that 'kerbs' WERE the solution.

Just image the HOWLS of laughter if footballers, tennis players and all other sports claimed that THEY needed kerbs round THEIR 'play areas' as 'referees can't enforce white lines'.........

My wife both plays and umpires Hockey matches...... I can just IMAGINE her reaction to a player claiming that they couldn't MANAGE to keep the ball between the white lines......

Can you do me a favour though, Trevor? Drop me from the replies as I am TRYING to drop the subject.
