Stop imagining that you are living in a world where.... just becasue you don't LIKE the 'nanny culture'... you can IGNORE it!
This outcome WILL occur! Other BIZARRE ones can be envisaged! A marshal remains at his post, some TW*T leaves the track and HITS him! The driver will be ABLE to claim that you ENCOURAGED the drivers to LEAVE the track and the marshal WILL be able to claim that you did NOT make reasonable attempts to PROTECT him by BANNING karts from LEAVING THE TRACK!
However, you KEEP missing the point! I am suggesting that you COULD be right and that we 'SHOULD be allowed to jump kerbs' (I don't think we SHOULD be but MY opinion does NOT matter). You have two SENSIBLE option.... there MAY be others but here's the first two:
1) Simply paint the white lines BEHIND the kerbs! Then, the drivers WILL THEN know EXACTLY how far they CAN go and the CoC will be able to POINT to a place where karts CAN'T go!
2) Cancel the rule about not crossing the white lines!
What we have NOW is the WORST of all worlds! A rule that is IGNORED! And NOTHING is worse than THAT!
It's EXACTLY why the MSA have asked you tyo enforce the no-tyre-heating in cadets! If you HAVE a rule....you MUST enforce or it makes a MOCKERY of ALL the rules!
