My reply was not directed at the drivers but at alanrr as a representative of the "feeble authorities" you refer to! I have previously raised this matter on this forum a couple of months ago as follows:

"Can anybody explain exactly why we're going to have to fit so called brake disc protectors next year? I've been banging on for years about drivers that cheat by driving off the circuit over kerbs to short cut the corners, and clubs that refuse to either install better kerbs or enforce the rules to stop them. Now, thanks to their cheating driving, the rest of us have to bolt another piece of useless junk to the kart.
What is it about this country these days that everybody has to suffer to protect the rights of wrong-doers not to suffer by their actions?

To which alanrr replied:

"You'll never be able to race at Rye then Dave!
We allow the kerbs to be used, so you either join in or lose out."
