This situation is why we should have both flag and incident marshals on posts as in car racing, however many clubs struggle to get sufficient flag marshals to cover the circuit let alone extra incident marshals. This also would then have a cost implication in entry fee hikes to pay for the extra staff. Car and Bike racing does not have this problem as none of them get paid its just the kart marshals that get the dosh.
