Thanks to all drivers that came to the tenth and final round of the Clay Pigeon Kart Club 2008 championship this weekend. We hope you've all dried out after all of the rain that hit us on the Sunday! Unfortunately the dark skies and weather including driving rain got the better of us in the end and forced us to shorten the lengths of the finals but thanks to the hard work of the club officials, and the co-operation of drivers getting to the dummy grid on time, we managed the complete all races before losing the light completely.
The results for the day and the end of year championship points are now available: Results: http://claypigeon.resultsviewer.co.uk/ListRaces.php?Round=96 Championship Points: http://claypigeon.resultsviewer.co.uk/ListChampionships.php As usual an extra 25 points have been awarded to all drivers who signed on for the last round. If having checked your points you believe there to be any errors, please contact Stephen Wellington on webmaster@claypigeonkartclub.com as soon as possible.
Don’t forget that coming up soon in December is the annual Colin Clark Meats Turkey Trot. Once again Colin Clark will be donating a prize of a turkey to the winner of each class with 5 or more entries. Chocolate selection boxes will be given to all Cadet and Junior drivers. The weekend will be a Cadet Special. This will include the Pigeon Pursuit – all will be revealed on the day so turn up at Race Control to find out more and win great prizes. Also any member who introduces a cadet driver for this event who has not raced at Clay Pigeon this year will take home a box of chocolates (to qualify the member who introduces the new driver must be named on the race entry and chocolates are subject to availability).
Tickets are selling quickly for this year’s Championship Awards Presentation - There will be a 3-course Christmas menu (with vegetarian option) with coffee and followed by a disco until midnight. Tickets are just £12.50 (subsidised by the club). Contact Chris at the circuit (01935 83713) for more information.
