The problem here is that we are being told we need a brake protector for 2009 and suddenly this is the one to have.

I ran one earlier in the year on a Tonykart krypton as a sprocket protector and it has done its job well. The nylon is now well worn and the replacement is Ł11.75.

My concern is that we will not be given guidelines on how far below the brake disc they need to protrude. Are you going to need to have almost a new one fitted to pass scrutineering. If so this could get expensive pretty quickly.

Rather than try to stop brake discs getting damaged by fitting protectors, why dont the MSA instruct circuits to adjust the kerbs so that drivers do not gain an advantage by cutting across them.

Dunks has taken this approach and you need to be pretty commited to try and run the kerb there. Even when you just glance them they bloody hurt.
